My old PC runs XP media addition. The data I need to transfer is the Outlook folders. I know Outlook is not on Wins 7 but I need access to the emails in Outlook. There are far too many to copy or print. I have original disks with Outlook.

Is it easier to install Outlook on my Wins 7 laptop, 64 bit and then transfer the data from the XP computer by flash or cable? I will not continue to use Outlook. The info in the emails are very important for a pending legal issue. After that is resolved then I will not have a use for Outlook. I use Thunderbird on both my Vista PC and my Win 7 laptop.

I cannot use the import/export feature because I cannot log into the account. I thought I had the right password but I have tried to log in and cannot. It was a few years ago that I used Outlook.

I do not consider myself a beginner but in this matter I am confused. I am not savvy enough to know the easiest ways to do things that I have never done before. thank you for any suggestions. Gail

Hi DevilDogMom! Check this out, hope it works for you. Thunderbird PST Import plugin 1.2

The Outlook.PST file should be in C:\Users\Your Profile Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
