    Hi,
How would someone save the e-mail files that they have on one computer with Outlook Express and transfer those files to another computer with Outlook?

One way that I was thinking of is to save the email to a floppy disc. Another idea is.... If you have some space on the net that you could save your letters to.... you could go and retrieve them from there. Just a couple ideas.

You would simply export your messages/address book and save them to a floppy then import them on the new computer.

import/export is under the file command in outlook and outlook express

for exact step by step, what version of outlook express and what version of outlook?

If outlook and outlook express are on the same computer, then follow the above procedure.

    If different computer, then

file, export, choose what you want to export then choose text file (comma seperated value) and follow the prompts.

then copy the file to a disk.

then choose import in outlook and point it to that file.

You can import directly from Outlook. From Outlook Help:

On the File menu, click Import and Export.

Import an Internet e-mail client's account name and server settings

To import from Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Mail and Messenger, and Microsoft Internet Mail:

Click Import Internet Mail Account Settings, and then click Next.
Click the e-mail client to import, and then click Next.
Follow the remaining instructions in the Import and Export Wizard.
