I'm gonna build a new pc and would like to keep my existing setup - XP and all my progs etc - if poss....

I've got a 250gb external hdd to clone my drive to using acronis, but thought about it and wondered if it made a difference cloning an eide drive when it's going to be going onto a sata drive, with a completely new system/hardware setup!

Is it possible or is a fresh install of everything on the cards?

    Thanks for any help..... (y)
