I experienced an error 17 i n Grub in trying to boot my double boot system. That froze everything. I unhooked the drive and installed another 80 gig WDC drive set up as master and installed WinXP-home on the drive.

Now my two questions. Should I be able to install the double boot drive that has the boot error as slave and be able to access the XP data on it from the new master drive?

If so What is the best way to move the old data to the new drive. Will drag and drop do was well as any other method?
