I have a BT account added to my windows 7 email program.
    All my contact are there
However I am finishing with BT and need to know if I delete my BT email account in windows mail what happens to my contacts?

I have just added a Gmail account into windows mail to now use as my default account and want the contacts there.

    Thanks
So if I delete the BT account my contacts, that I use for BT mail, will be available to the Gmail account I just added to Windows Mail in its place?

That link just brings up IE Add ons?

I want to be able to access the Gmail account when I am out and about also
So view it on my nexus 4 and 7
I did try and import my Windows contacts into Gmail as a CSV file
They show up there But when I try to send an email on my nexus the name is not suggested as I type the first letter

Whats the windows 7 email program - Windows live mail ?

    in gmail
when you compose a message - if you click on TO then you should get a list of all the contacts you have in the gmail account

The mail programming is the Windows Mail one already installed on my windows 7 PC. Not the web one.

So shouldn't it auto suggest a contact as I type then?

and as i type the email address it does provide a dropdown - BUT thats only from the contacts that are in gmail and NOT contacts in WLM

in gmail - if you goto contacts
are all your contacts listed ?

Yes contacts are listed in gmail. Just wondered why when access gmail on my android phone or tablet it doesn't auto suggest the name as I type the first or even 2nd or 3rd letters.
    Does do on PC.

Contacts are usually program specific. Your drop down does not work on a phone if you don't have anything in your phone's address book / contacts.

You can add your G-Mail account to Windows Live Mail and it will use the same contacts as your BT connection did.
