This supposedly new trojan discovered by Norton is in fact LOP a well known spyware, advertising spawning parasite.

It is fairly easy to remove if you use the right tools, unfortunately Norton seem to have made a bit of a boob and only removes the dropper, not the infected files so they still run and cause the problem and the Norton antivirus still tells you that you are infected. This is why we are seeing so many posts asking for help after Norton has supposedly removed it

The way to normally remove it is by running a combination of Adaware & spybot. One or the other will normally remove it

If it is not removed by adaware or spybot then please post a hijackthis log so one of the techs here can advise you what to manually remove to cure the problem completely.

for more information about this insidious parasite please read here

    AdAware 6 181
    Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de
