just empty temporary internet files

then it's likely you have other problems so
go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required,
so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

It looks like you have a CWS hijack
Download & Run CWshredder from http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html
and make sure you follow the advice about the security updates listed at the bottom of the page, in order to prevent re-infection, otherwise you will be continually reinfected
then reboot &
run hijackthis, tick any of these entries below that remain, make sure all browser & email windows are closed and press fix checked

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'spsublsp.dll' missing

then to fix this problem
O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'spsublsp.dll' missing
Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
run the application. Just run it, you will see a list of files in the left hand pane and possibly some in the right hand pane. Do not change any of them, just press finish and the program will do anything
then
reboot into safe mode by following instructions here
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001060608000039

make sure that you have all files set to show by opening explorer /tools/folder options/view and make sure that show hidden files & folders is ticked and hide protected operating system files is UNticked

delete this folder
C:\Program Files\NavExcel\

post a new hjt log to check

it found some of those CW things and i removed them, then i went to follow the instructions for preventing this from happening again, so it had the option of removing Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM) from Windows XP, since i guess it doesn't support it nemore

so then before i did that a box popped up and said r u sure u wanna do this cuz u won't be able ta dl from ie nemore

is this true??

because it says "You might want to remove the Microsoft JVM, which Microsoft no longer supports, in favor of the more recent Sun Microsystems JVM" which makes it sound unless

http://www.winnetmag.com/Article/ArticleID/38206/38206.html

What the pop up says is once you have removed M$ java you will be unable to redownload M$ java from microsoft. It does not mean that you cannot do any other downloads using IE

The sun JAva is far better anyway and less open to security breaches.

M$ have got to stop using their version of JAVA by the end of 2004 anyway and do not allow ait to be downloade or installed except as an update to an existing outdated version, which is full of security holes.
