    Can anyone tell me what this is and how to remove it? It keeps saying run AVG to get rid of it, so I do and nothing happens!!

    Can anyone tell me what to do please?

    It’s very important that you save it to its own folder on your hard drive, such as program files (not temporary files or the desktop), so that it can create proper back-ups and be able to restore them if necessary.

    Close all open windows and open Hijack This. Click “Scan”. When the scan is finished (it only takes a second), the scan button will change to “Save Log”. Click on “Save Log” and then save it to NotePad. Click on “Edit” – “Select all” – “copy” and then “paste” into the thread.

    DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET, most items that appear in the log are harmless or even needed.

    I have tried to use track eraser, ad -aware, spy vest and spyboot in the hope to work it out but if I'm honest I have no idea what to do next...

    Rescan with Hijack This, close all browser windows except Hijack This, put a check mark beside these entries and click “fix checked”.

    still getting the same message when I run spy vest etc it keeps telling me about it

    Any ideas on what it cold be can u also tell me what I fixed?

    Have done what u said and taken off spy vest are the other site secure for me to download the tools. As I got spy vest from a magazine which said it was legit - only for you to say it was not - HELP - what should I do as I'm now trying to be cautious.......
