Hello everyone, I've been trying to get rid of the Back Door Agent 2H for a week or so now and it will not leave. I even installed the cleaner that was suppose to get rid of this trojan and it's still here according to AVG,when I ran the cleaner the second time it didn't show any trojans only AVG shows them still hanging on. I will post a log and hopefully some one can tell me how to get rid Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.0

What is the name of files AVG is detecting and where are they located?

Download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop.

When the trial period expires it becomes feature-limited freeware but is still worth keeping as a good on-demand scanner.

1. Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double click it to launch the set up program.
2. Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
3. On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
• Next select the "Start Update" button. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
4. Once the update has completed, select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
5. Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
6. Under "Reports"
• Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
• Un-Select "Only if threats were found"
Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Do Not run a scan just yet, we will run it in safe mode.
1. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.

IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning as it may interfere with the scanning process:
2. Launch AVG Anti-Spyware by double clicking the icon on your desktop.
3. Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab then click on "Complete System Scan".
4. AVG will now begin the scanning process. Please be patient as this may take a little time.
Once the scan is complete, do the following:
5. If you have any infections you will be prompted. Then select "Apply all actions."
6. Next select the "Reports" icon at the top.
7. Select the "Save report as" button in the lower lef- hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file. This is important).
8. Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system back into Normal Mode.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
• You need to use IE to run this scan
• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button
• Enter your Country
• Enter your State/Province
• Enter your e-mail address and click send
• Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report

Come back here and post a new HijackThis log along with the logs from the AVG and Panda scans.

Slow computers teach you to be patient but I'd still like to thump this one every once in awhile. OK we finished .The trojans are at C:\ProgramFiles\PestPatrol\Quarantine\20040916122117290.zip:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\nudtdtco\nnsnrpruof\falmodsac.exe The next is C:\Program Files\PestPatrol\Quarantine\20040916122117290.zip:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\nudtdtco\lonnacum\scloocmt.exe I ran the AVG anti spyware and when it was finished with the scan it would not let me get to the report page without doing something with the two trojans mentioned so at first I said no to it fixing them and it would not go away so I said yes and it immediately fixed them and said there was nothing in report so I played with it and finally got a report. Here it is ---------------------------------------------------------

Download WinPFind.exe to your desktop and double click on it open it and then select “extract” to extract the files. This will create a folder named WinPFind on your desktop.

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:

• Restart the computer.
• As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.
• Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
• Press the Enter key.

Double click on the WinPFind folder on your desktop to open it and then double click on the WinPFind.exe file to start the program.

• Click “Configure scan options”
• Under “Run AdOns” select the following:
• Policies.def
• Security.def
• Click “apply”
• Click "Start Scan"
• It will scan the entire System, so please be patient and let it complete.

When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder) back here along with a new HijackThis log.

I got the WinPFind and put it in configure scan optionsand can see the folder options and registry key options and only three letters in the other column. I figured out which ones to check but there is no way to click on apply. Is there a way to make the screen show a more normal screen size in safe mode?

When you look at the program in normal mode you should be able to see the apply button. In safe mode, you should see just the extreme outer edge of it that you can click on.

You're version of HijackThis is not current and you also have it running from the temp files so please uninstall it and redownload it.

• Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
• Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
• Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows sometimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Now you need to upgrade to SP2.

Now you should turn system restore off to flush out all previous system restore points, then turn it back on and create a new restore point:

To turn off system restore, on the Desktop, right click on My Computer and click on Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn System Restore back on and create a restore point.

To create a new restore point, click on Start – All Programs – Accessories – System Tools and then select System Restore.

In the System Restore wizard, select Create a restore point and click the Next button.

Type a name for your new restore point then click on Create.

I also recommend downloading SPYWAREBLASTER for added protection.

Delete your temporary files:

In safe mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit - Select All then Edit - Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start - Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit - Select All then hit Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel - Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK (this option does not exist in IE7). Click Apply then OK.

Empty the recycle bin.
