trojan?

    hi,

    everytime i start up my pc and log on to my lan, i immediately get a cookie (update.densmail.com), even before i start ie or netscape. i have a feeling something's installed on my pc that sends a message to the internet.

    Hey Ray. I'm not one of the experts on HJT logs, but I've seen enough to know you ought to get rid of these. Run hijackthis, tick all below, doublecheck to make sure you haven't missed any, close all browser windows & press fix checked.

    This one needs to go too:

    After fixing with HJT boot to safe mode and delete:

    The C:\WINDOWS\comctl_32.exe file

    thnx a bundle!

    what's wrong with this comctl_32.exe file? i got a couple more w/ similar names like:
    comctl32.bak and .dll and comctl32_4.70.0.1146.dll.
    especially that last 1 is a bit funny, isn't it?
