    Hi,
I have an old modem and router and over the past three days or so the connection keeps going. I'm completely unable to surf the web when trying to go wireless because when I try to connect to it I either can't, or I have limited access and pages are unable to load. I'm currently using a LAN (Ethernet) cable but this seems to cut out quite a bit.
    I'm using a Motorola SB5101e Modem, and a Netgear WGr614 v6 Router.
We've got 3 Laptops in the house and neither can connect but the XBox's work fine when using an Ethernet cable.

I'm not the best with computers so if anyone can help it will probably be needed to be explained very easily.
Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have the same problem with a computer connected directly to the modem?

Make sure you have the latest firmware for the router; then reset it to factory defaults and reconfigure it.

I don't have a computer connected directly through the modem. My modem only has one ethernet port and this goes into the router to feed the internet through that in order to get wireless internet and to get internet to the other devices that are plugged directly into the modem.

I'm not sure if the problem is that the both the modem and router are old, but I'm planning on calling Virgin Media to see if they can install a new box because I had router and modem back when it was Blueyonder
