I have Windows XP and Firefox 38.0

I was trying to update my adobe flash player.

I download the file. I open it. It starts to install
but then soon after it stalls and says there is a
connection error. It gives me the option to retry.
When I do, it fails and says the player could not
    be installed.

I don't know if this is a problem with flash player,
Firefox, or Windows XP. Can someone help me
    please? Thanks.

    First Name:
Adobe Flash Player (activeX and plugin) installs fine in a Windows XP SP3 computer that uses Mozilla Firefox 38.0. (y)

We don't know the condition of your computer and its connection and where you downloaded Adobe Flash Player from, so it's difficult to advise you why it won't install.
