built new pc(1st. time builder) using NVIDIA nFORCE 680i SLI DUAL PCI EXPRESS X16 DDR2 800 INTEL SOCKET 775
BGF NVIDIA GeFORCE 8800 GTS OC GRAPHICS CARD 320MB GDDR3
    CORSAIR DDR2 XMS 2 2GByte Twin2X Matched Memory pair
MOVED BIOS TO CDROM 1ST. PRIORITY

INSTALLATION PROCESS GETS TO WHERE IT INDICATES IT WILL LOAD OS FROM CDROM BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO FROM THAT POINT AND COMPUTER TURNS OFF.

PS I HAVE THE 6 XP BOOT FLOPPY DISKS FOR XP PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW TO PROCEED WITH THIS ALTERNATIVE WAY TO CLEAN INSTALL ONCE I GET MY COMPUTER BACK TO DEFAULT AND HAVE THE FLOPPY DRIVE TO 1ST. PRIORITY.

THE ONE VERY CONSISTENT AND VERY BOTHERSOME PROBLEM IS THAT THE BIOS PROGRAM NEVER GIVES ME ENOUGH TIME TO WORK WITH IN CONFIGURING. IS THERE A WAY TO PROLONG TIME BIOS PERMITS? THANKYOU, JUAN F CUELLAR:confused:

    Hi, Juan.
No need for all Caps. It's considered shouting.
When the installation gets to the "Setup is starting Windows" screen, you do nothing. Windows is supposed to start at that point. The fact that it then shuts down indicates that you have a problem, possibly with heat, PSU. or something else.
When you installed the CPU and Heatsink/fan did you use Thermal Paste or a Thermal Pad?

How far does it get into the install before shutting down? Does it show any error messages? Does it beep at you?
