I have 61 critical objects showing up when I run a scan with Lavasoft ad-aware. The problem is when I check them to be deleted they never are the delete screen says they are deleted but the window won't go away so I can finish the process. The computer is EXTREMELY slow and reroutes me or does nothing. HELP! :( :(

Brinddle, I am not the shapest knife in the drawer when it comes to computers, I am sorry. What is the OS? and the last time I did a computer clean-up successfully was about a week ago. I also have spy-bot installed and tried to run that a few minutes ago and it won't respond either. I think I have a virus or worm.

Windows 2000, I don't know if I created a new post instead of a reply so I replied here to sorry if it is a duplicate. I have been receiving error messages and my computer kicking me off that is why it is taking so long in my replies.

Welcome to TSG, we're glad your here.

I could only make suggestion if you were running 98\se. That's why I first asked about your OS. If you are not starting a thread in one of the OS forums it's a good idea to at the very least mention it in your thread.
I always like to start with a good system clean up (unless spyware etc. is obvious) that would be my suggestion here. You might want to have your thread moved to 2000 or security.
Sorry I am unable to be of more help.
    Brett

Yep, ME is a Win9x based O/S, and Windows 2000 is an NT based O/S.

Have you tried doing a System Restore to an earlier date?
Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Sytem Restore - then try running Ad-Aware again and make sure you have ticked the items to be removed.
