trusted and banned IP's in firewall

    How do I know what IP's to add to trusted and banned on mcafee personal firewall ?
    For a ISP I have earthlink, although i do not have their software downloaded, how do I know what their IP"s are? I need help, knowing what to put in as trusted and banned and how to find IP addys.
    Any help would be appreciated, I am a blonde hillbilly, so use small words so i don't have to get out the dickshunnary!!! ty

    Hi mjta,

    You may find a firewall designed list of bad IP adresses at this site :
    http://remember.mine.nu/downloads/
    But you will have a lot of work if you have to insert them one by one in your McAfee banned list.

    I think it's not necessary to insert all these IP addresses. It may slow your Internet connection. I guess the McAfee utility allows you to set the Internet security to the max. Also, it is important to know what applications may go online (Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Messenger, ...).
