Greetings everyone. I have a DELL Inspiron 1200, I've had since 2005 and all goes well with it, I take it apart at times and make sure the fans and things are going great. A while back I took all my ipod music off because this was taking up too much space (16GB of the 40 given), I don't know why, but my C drive days i have used 32.8GB of space and 1.25GB free. I don't know where all that space is being taken up, does anyone have a idea? Is this Ghost space, are my music files still on here somewhere or is there something, somewhere hiding? If so, how do i get free space back? Thanks, any suggestions would be appreciated.
tried it, but still confused, reads as 25,121.5 mb on Cdrive. breaking down to 7,796mb in Documents and settings, 7,545mb in program files, 6,033.7mb in WINDOWS,2,424.6mb in [Files],796.2MB in i386,416.3MB in Dell and 27.7MB in kaspersky. this is in one log in name, could the rest of should i check the other names for added? that's not 39gb is it???
Honestly....I have no idea...I have LOCAL DISK C, CD DRIVE (D, AND CD DRIVE (E, though i have no idea how i got two CD drives when i only have one. partition would be located in MY COMPUTER, Yes?
nope no more partitions. looking at files brought up by Treesize, I see that the other user names i have are denying access to Treesize so I will need to go into each one and find out where other memory is...will check it and let you know.
