trying to improve my dailup

    Hi... I am trying to improve my 56 dailup and my pc overall performance. I am running Window Me with 1000Mh processor and just install extra SD Ram [128mb to 256mb] but don't see much improvement. High Speed is not availiable in my area..
    Do anyone have any tips.....Thanks

    Hi huggie, there's not much more you can do. Beware of download accelerators, etc; they're of dubious benefit. You'll be better off keeping your system free of any spy/ad ware applications. Spybot and AdAware are excellent:

    A pop-up add blocker may be of use since downloading those banners and stuff takes up lots of bandwith:

    Also, make sure you have a firewall. ZoneAlarm and Sygate are good options.
