Trying to remove Smitfraud for over a month now

Hi everyone, i'm in need of desperate assistance! For about a month now i've been trying to remove "Smitfraud-C.Coreservice" from my PC but have had no luck.

I've been onto loads of forums and viewed hundreds of posts with the same topic and tried every possible method I could but unfortunately my PC skills are limited and i've now come to a dead end!

Firstly here is a list of some info about my PC:

Opperating System - Windows Vista Basic
Ram - 512MB
PC Model - Acer Aspire

My PC has two 40 Gig Hard Drives(C:\ & D:\) and I use an 80 Gig External Hard Drive(F:\) aswell

I currently have the following protection programs/software installed on my PC:

Avast Antivirus
Spybot S&D
PopGun
Killbot

Other programs I have also had installed and had no luck with are:

F-Secure Antivirus(Beta version for Vista)
AVG Antivirus

By reading through forums I have tried countless methods of trying to remove this problem but have got nowhere. A detailed description of my fault would be that I constantly recieve pop ups to various sites, sometimes it is to a link that doesn't exist and my computer seems to be running slow and jittery at times. These pop ups open up through I.E. 6 even though i'm not using this as I use Firefox 2 as my web browser.

Each time I do a scan with Spybot S&D it finds various problems and removes all but the ones contained in a Smitfraud folder. This folder contains 4 files and allows me to remove 1 off them but can't remove the other 3.

By reading through the forums i've noticed that some users have managed to clear this by using a piece of software called "Hijackthis". I have this installed on my PC and have posted my scan results on other forums but no one has repied with a possible solution to removing this problem.

Most of my replies have been from users reccomending various different ways of removing the smitfraud bug but it appears most of these solution are not compatable with Vista.

I'm really stuck now and it would be very helpful if someone could assist me with removing this from my PC. Also If someone could tell me how I got this in the first place and how to prevent it in future.

Below is the results of my most recent Hijackthis system scan if anyone can help me out:
