I have 2 questions i hope can be answered.
    1. When I first turn on my computer the black screen that asks me me how I want to start up windows comes up with the 30 second count down. It asks me do i want normal, safe mode, etc. I obvioulsy want my computer to start in normal mode each time. Is there a way to stop my computer from going to this screen each time I turn the computer on?

    2. Once computer is one and running, a window comes up that says the following-"please select modem" and it gives me 2 options. Again this does not effect how my computer runs, but I have no idea why is does this, but would just like it to stop popping up.

    Thank you in advance.

    Double check on this:

Go to start / run / msconfig <type in

When it opens click on 'advanced' , look under 'settings' and see if 'enable startup menu' is checked, if it is, UNCHECK it,

    :)
