Turn sounds off

    I want to record something through my sound card, but still use my pc. How do I turn all the sounds off on my PC without going through them one by one. Things like the mouse clicking, etc get recorded otherwise.

    hi...start>control panel>sounds and audio devices>change the sound scheme....the lil drop down menu will have a no sounds selection...select it...apply >ok
