I had a problem earlier this year with the twain tech spyware..and I had to remove it all manually...I have a friend who has just become infested with the same stuff as well...I'm not able to explain to her how to manually delete it all (she lives a few hours away)...I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the type of spyware and if they knew of any programs to help remove it. (Ad-aware doesn't catch it.)

    Thanks for any information :)

scan your hard drive with this tool :
this is where to get it
    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=download

and this link how to use it

    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=easytouse

    After downloading TDS, don't forget
to update to the latest database!

    this where to update manually
    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=update
it removes trojans and worms, backdoors .
-make sure system restore is off
    - after updating tds3 ,when you launch the program ,it will scan your memory running programs ,and after 20 to 30 seconds(u ll see this message :trace scan finished) ,you not finished .you click on SYSTEM TESTING ,a tab opens then CLICK FULL SYSTEM SCAN.
good luck ,make sure when scanning your antivirus is off or disabled ,and no other application running .

Manual removal: Go to control panel, "Add/Remove Programs", select the entry "twain-tech".
