Do any of you use or have used Win98lite OS?

Have any of you used IEradicator to remove IE from your computer?

I will appreciate seeing all of what you have to say about either or both of these questions and the use of the software.

    buf,

Hey ask over at tweeks about the Win98lite OS because I know some of them have it but I can't think of who.
They used to talk about it at the old UAMB.

    Hi buf,

I've used IEradicator when Internet Explorer
began acting funny. I tried the repair on Microsoft's
site... and IExplorer STILL wouldn't work right.

Getting angry, I spent an afternoon killing
Internet Explorer, using IEradicator. It got
just about all of IE, but I had to also dig thru
the Registry (Win98) and File Manager.

As it left, Internet Explorer screwed up my
"prefs" file in Netscape (4.08), and turned
a portion of that file to a .vbs file. So I had
to completely wipe ot Netscape and re-install.
(I keep the installation file in a "Savers"
    directory).

After that, all was well... So IEradicator does
get most of it. Just make sure you have another
Browser ready to install (or re-install).

    Hi bonz:
After seeing other info about IEradicator and now reading about your "spat" with it, I have decided that I like IE after all. And, of course, I can just leave it installed while I play with another browser. :p Now that I think of it, I once did that with Opera 6??
I see Mozilla 1.0 is out now and available and I have seen a couple of posts about it indicating that it is pretty good. I downloaded it but have not installed it. I like IE but I just get tired of updates to keep those "rogues" outta my machine thru IE.

Take care out/over there on the other coast and have a nice and safe 4th.

    K, buf.

Sometimes it's easier just to keep it. However,
I WAS successful in killing every last trace of
IExplorer. And everything still works !!

(Bill Gates will get me for that, I'm sure)

    Have a cool 4th !
