Hey there, im having problem to connect to the internet, firefox, gaim, updates ect... Then i disable the ipv6 in firefox about:config and now i can use firefox.

So, i also disable the piv6 in ubuntu with this:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Create a file in /etc/modprobe.d called blacklist-ipv6

The file should contain something like this:
    # Disable IPv6
    blacklist ipv6
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then i reboot and write this in the terminal:
lsmod | grep ipv6 , nothing appear so ipv6 is disable.

But the Update-Manager, apt-get update, Gaim ect... cant connect only firefox.
    i have a Paradyne-6381A2(3) modem/router, i have to install a driver?

the only thing i cant tolerate is fanatics from either camp......

as for your problem, a few detail about your machine and setup might help :)
