hello, I am unable to access files within a shared folder, although I set the properties of the sharing to full control for the group everyone. on the other computer, i am able to double click on the shared folder, but when I click on a folder within, or a file, I am given an error that says access denied. i was playing around with it earlier, but im not sure what i did. other shared folders are accessible.

What are the effective permissions on the folders that you cannot access. Did you check the box for replace permissions on all child objects.

remove the share (do not allow sharing for anyone) then re-apply the share also clikc the permission block and set the permissions there to full before applying and clicking ok, this seems to be a problem with windows xp i have experienced it also, i can be annoying but the above should fix the problem
