My Lacie USB use to connect automaticallt, but now no longer appears in the list of available drives when I click Start/Computer.

The hard drive appears when I open Device Manager and the Device Status box says it's working properly.

When I go to Disk Management, the hard drive is there (it's called Disk 1), but no drive letter is assigned.

When I right click on the volume, all the options are greyed out, except 'Delete volume' and 'Help', so I can't assign a drive letter.

Has anybody come across this problem before? Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks
