I am running Windows 10.
The issue I am running in to, is that my KMZ file wants to download and open as a PDF.
I have Google Earth downloaded onto my PC and actually already have it open and running an overlay that I had previously downloaded.
I go to my email to retrieve a new overlay for Google Earth, and it wants to download as a PDF.
I have also attempted to drag it over onto my second screen where I have Google Earth open, and it doesn't want to open that way either.

I have gone to "Settings/System/Default Apps/Choose Default Apps by file type" to attempt to change how my kmz file is downloading, and the only options I have to change to are; Acrobat, Google Update Setup and of course the option of "Look for another app in the Store".
Whats odd though, is right above the file type "KMZ" that is listed, is a "KML" file type. That file type is showing that it is downloading with "Google Earth".

I guess my main question(s) is/are: 1.) How do I get my KMZ file to download as a PDF?
2). If my KML file type is downloading to Google Earth, should I be looking more into that instead of utilizing KMZ?

If these questions or my explanation does not seem to make sense, please ask me to try and explain differently. I will do my best.

Help?! Thanks!

One a file that is already saved on your computer, right click and choose Open With and then browse to locate Google Earth, be sure to check the option to always use that program.
