Hi

I have posted this eleswhere, but no one was able to help.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the following under:

( Hkey_Current User > Software>Zone Labs > (sub dirs) Zone Alarm > plugin > obj > 00000002 > &. )

When I click Zone Labs, I get a message..
" Error while deleting key"

Canonot delete plugin
" Error Deleting Key. Cannot delete plugin. Error while deleting key "

Then the next sub folder down I get

" Error opening key. Cannot delete obj. Error while deleting key "

Everything else has been deleted, but I just can't delete the above.

I want to do it so as I have an absolute clean reinstall.

I have tried in Safe Mode, changing permissions, but still have not been able to remove.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your help.
I had actually uninstalled via a similar link, as the Zone Alarm uninstaller didn't want to work.

I don't know anything about DOS commands, so am a little reluctant to try. But many thanks anyway.

I'll box on.

Any other thoughts would be appreciate,

Many thanks

Hi Grandpaj,

Might give this a try. Download the following "Trialware" program & install. When you open it, do a search for (Exact name) of what you are trying to delete. It will find the registry keys & you can delete same by highlighting & clicking on delete in the right menu. It is called "Registry Crawler".

Hoipe it helps.:)
