I recently purchased 2 BrosTrend AC1200 adapters to allow our laptops to pick up 5ghz wifi signal. We both have the same exact laptop. On one, the adapter picks up 5ghz just fine. And on the other I cannot get it to find the signal. The laptops are Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series. Any help would be great. Thanks.

If both Dell laptops are the same model with the same hardware and operating system, and if both BrosTrend wireless adapters are the same model, they both should be able to detect and use the 5 GHz wireless band.

Turn on both laptops, then compare their wireless settings in the Device Manager.

If your wireless account has 2 entries(2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands) in the list of detected accounts, make sure you selected the correct band for both laptops.
