Do you mean that you wish to install Ubuntu as a duial boot with Linux Mint
The error most likely means that you are trying to install Ubuntu on a MBR - master boot record partitioned drive rather than on an GPT - Globally Unique Identifier partition table -partitioned drive
MBR VS GPT | What's the Difference and Which Is Better - EaseUS

That link is provided only to explain the difference to you

So using this link
Create a bootable USB stick on Windows | Ubuntu
or the appropriate one for however you made the usb or installation media for ubuntu
if you have commssioned the usb etc UEFI and the drive is MBR then you would get that error

Of course it also depends on the firmware of the system that you have on the computer

The overall explanation is here
BIOS-Boot or EFI partition (required on GPT disks)
DiskSpace - Community Help Wiki (ubuntu.com)

If you do not understand any of this - whilst it may still be possible to help you - I strongly recommend you make a complete image of your present system, BEFORE you proceed, rather than finding after the install you cannot easily access anything.
