I recently change my router from a Linksys "b" router to the new Linksys "g" router with SRX. Range and speed both improved significantly, but with one of my computers, I cannot maintain a persistent connection to the network.

Upon booting up (or rebooting) both internet browsers and Outlook Express have no problem w/ establishing a connection. If the network remains idle for more than an hour or so, nether browser or mail reader can establish a connection. Efforts to repair yield a "cannot find DNS Address" message.

This only happens on one machine.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Firstly,
it would help if you could use the IPCONFIG /ALL command before and after the PC is working on the Internet. Also check that there is no power saving on the PC's LAN adapter.
