    Hi
I have a Dell Laptop with Windows Vista Op. System. Something has happened in that I am unable to open any of the applications - for example when trying to open I Tunes a message reading Programme Files (X86)\itunes\itunes.exe appears. Similar messages show up on other applications.
I look forward to your assistance.

    More information.
Whatever application I try to open the message - Choose the programme you want to use to open this file eg ehshell.exe when trying to open Windows Media.

I've only got intermediate knowledge so don't want to suggest anything that's going to mess you up more but it sounds like the file extensions to your programs have been changed to a extension that Windows isn't familiar with.

Have you installed any new software packages recently?
