I just recently built a computer for a friend on mine so he would be able to play his flash based games online and offline. After the initial boot-up games played wonderfully @ 640x480 resolution. After updating his graphics drivers and changing the resolution to anything above 640x480 the games became unplayable due to lag. We have updated all drivers to the latest, BIOS, VIA Chipset drivers etc... even rolled back graphics & sound drivers to previous versions to no avail. We have also unchecked "hardware acceleration" in flash to see if that would help which it has not. The computer is more than capable of running flash games as it's a 1.7ghz, 1024mb DDR, GeForce 6800 512mb DDR. The computer exceeds all minimum requirements for these games (Machinarium etc..) Flash & Shock-Wave both have been updated to the very latest as well as legacy version to see if that was the problem, which it was not. We're really stuck on what to do and running out of ideas fast.
