Hey guys...my internet suddenly stopped working last night on my dell laptop. I know it is not the actual internet because my brother can connect and I can also connect through my itouch. I've searched and came up to this thread but have not had any success with it yet.

I followed someone's advice and right clicked on C drive, tools, and scan to make sure it is not my hard drive. It is almost done going through that scan now.

When I run command prompt and type in ipconfig I get this:
AN internal error occured: The request isnt supported.
Please contact Microsoft for further help.
Additional Information: Unable to query host name

Any help with be appreciated. :(

You've done all the suggestions from that other thread, including a repair install and whatever that tcpip.sys stuff was? I lost track of who had what problem and who got a solution in that mess. :(

I suggest starting with a new posting of your system information, not pointing to a thread about a different problem.
