I had saved a file in Audacity for a project, and as it was not allowing me to export, decided to save and restart my computer. When re-opening the file, the message: Faulty Sequence Tags. I have not been able to recover the audio and need it urgently. I am using Windows 10 and Audacity 2.2.2.

If you attempted to export the file as an MP3 you should know that Audacity cannot save as MP3 in it's default state. On it's download page though there are links for addons for MP3 and other types of files specifically for Audacity. I have never used project files myself since I do not use Audacity for anything but conversion of movie audio from incompatible types to something more compatible. If it's an MP3 issue you could have tried exporting as AC3 which is available without any addons. Sorry you lost your work but it's probably lost but look here:

Windows 10 can be a pain, you might consider setting compatibility mode for the Audacity EXE file to an earlier OS, and also set it to run as administrator and see if that helps you in the future.
