I recently switched from AOL and thought it was a good idea to format the hard drive because of all problems I had with their software. I reloaded window98 first edition and the second edition upgrade with no problem. When I wanted to load office 97 I received an error that bassically says I can't load the software because the version of windows I have was not preinstalled by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is no longer in business and microsoft doesn't help. what can I do?

Did the office 97 disk you have come from the manufacturer. Can you get ahold of another Office 97 program?
