I got this URL in my IE Address bar. It will not go away. I deleted/cleared all my History Folder & Cookies & Temporary Internet Files.

All the URL and other address have got cleared except this one. I do not see any new programs installed in my Program files and no new icon on my task bar. Some one Please kindly help me in getting rid this URL/address from my system.

    Thank you in advance.

In addition, try opening IE, and type in a couple of sites in the address box.
Click on enter in order to go there.

Is this particular site now in the drop down list when you click on the little arrow to the right of your address box?

Then you may have to remove it in the Registry:

Go to Start/run, and type Regedit.

    Drill down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Highlight 'TypedUrls'. Now remove the items you want to get rid of in the right pane.

If you're hesitant to edit the Registry manually, you can also do this another way:

Copy the following bold text to Notepad, and save as Urls.reg

    REGEDIT4

    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs]

Doubleclick it, and answer 'yes' to have it merged into the registry.

    Good luck,
