When I right click on a download button and want to save the file in my doc., the "save target as" won't work. How do I get the computer to put the downloaded file in my doc. instead of the temp file?

    HI cheesehead

Go to My computer\view\ folder options\file types - scroll dpwn to the type of file you want to save, click "edit" and make sure there is a tick in the box "confirm open after download" click ok and ok again - now you will be asked where you want to save the file to, next time you save that particular type of file.

No that didn't do it. The file type is in there. I've upgraded internet explorer and win98/2ed. Everything plays once it downloads to temp file. Just can't save any media downloads to my doc.

Did you highlight the file type and make sure there is a tick in the box "confirm open after download" ?

What file type is it ?

When you right click "save target as" it automatically downloads to a temporary folder ? is this what you are saying ?

What happens if you double left click the file ?
