I recently went into a cafe that was offering a Wi-Fi service, purchased an account code & attempted to access their wireless network. My wireless card connected to it automatically, & the SSID came up as connected, but I was unable to send or receive any data through it.
No dialogue boxes came up with anywhere to input the code the cafe gave me & they said they had this problem a few times & that there was a solution (although nobody could actually remember what the solution was!).
Has anyone come across this problem before?
I'm running Windows XP & a 3Com 11a/b/g Wireless X-Jack PC Card (which all works fine on my home wireless network).

Sounds like a cafe problem... To many possibilities to attempt troubleshooting from here.
