I am using Windows 2000 Proffessional Edition. Since a week i am unable to shutdown, restart ot log off my computer. It just comes back to the desktop after i click OK to shutdown or restart the pc. But if i press ALT + F4 and then click OK to shutdown or restart the pc, it works. But doesnt work if i do it normally, i.e. from Start -> ShutDown....
Can anyone please solve this?

What does your computer error log say?
For those who don't know where the error log is located.
    [1] Start Menu
    [2] Help and Support
    [3] Pick a Task
    [4] Tools
    [5] Advanced System Information
    [6] View the Error Log
