I have just became aware that I can not uninstall programs. On attempt of any Uninstall I receive an error message "COULD NOT OPEN INSTALL.LOG FILE"

In every instance, I have found the install.log file in each programs respectible folder and can open it in notepad with no problem. For some reson the Uninstall program just can't find what is right in front of them.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Using Windows 2000 Pro W/SP4

Are you logged in as administrator? If not you may have restricted rights. Also to try is running cmd in case unstaller file is corrupt.

Download the Windows installer from Microsoft download site and see if that might help.
