My HP a220n computer has started to die unexpectedly. It stops just as though you had reached the end of a shutdown. IE: the power goes off by itself. This can happen on startup, during a use or even before windows starts. It does not seem to be a heat problem. Some times the Blue power switch flashes, sometime it stays lit solid and sometimes it goes out. Norton has checked for viruses. Any ideas how to check the power supply for a problem? Or any other ideas, as this is an intermittent problem.
