Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.4
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Processor: AMD E2-3200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, AMD64 Family 18 Model 1 Stepping 0
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 7666 Mb
Graphics Card: Windows Live Display Driver, 8 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: 919 GB (741 GB Free); D: 11 GB (1 GB Free);
    Motherboard: PEGATRON CORPORATION, 2ACF
Antivirus: AVG Antivirus, Enabled and Updated

I have not been able to get into a home improvement forum for a few days so I had a friend try on his computer. He was able to get in with no problem. I am using Chrome so I tried with Firefox and got in but the next time I tried to get in with FF it did the same thing. It says "unexpected error" in the address bar, nothing else. Thanks for any help.
PS: It only seems to be on this one place, all others are ok. www.doityourself.com

Check your firewall & AVG exclusions.

I added it to AVG exclusions and shut my firewall off, still does it.

I managed to get into https://www.doityourself.com/forum/
with both uBlockorigin and noscript running so I don't think it is your ad blocker that is preventing you from getting in.

at the bottom it says Website operating problems contact [email protected]
Perhaps you can send an email, using the email you registered at that site with the problem you are having.

I tried disabling AVG and could not do it. Mine looks nothing like the one shown above. I have made no changes to my computer and have used that site a lot, just started having this problem this week. I will email the webmaster. Thank you

As I said before, my AVG does not look like that. Maybe because it is the free one but I can not find any of the stuff listed in that article.

Are you saying that you don't have an AVG logo down by the clock, either exposed or hidden?

I do have that. The one shown above is AVG internet security, mine is AVG Anti Virus. Hopefully I can upload a pic. IMG_20190519_232646.jpg

GRRR, I can't believe how easy that was after all the time I tried to disable it. But, I still get that error. So far I have closed my firewall, AVG and ad blocker but I still can not get to that site. I can get to it on my phone.
