    Hi
I am running Windows 7 ultimate and I'm getting blue screen shut downs. The computer is usually at idle and it shuts off and tries to restart but the boot device changes. I have to select the drive manually that contains the operating system to reboot.

I've swapped out almost everything and it still does it. The error log looks like this

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 116
    BCP1: 87E71510
    BCP2: 8FBE4FF8
    BCP3: C000009A
    BCP4: 00000004
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

Code integrity determined that the image hash of a file is not valid. The file could be corrupt due to unauthorized modification or the invalid hash could indicate a potential disk device error.

    File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\drivers\MrtRate.sys

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0x87e71510, 0x8fbe4ff8, 0xc000009a, 0x00000004). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 031311-19968-01.

I fear that before long I will no longer beable to get it boot.

Have you run diagnostics on the hard drive?

I think I've found it. I disconnected the slave drive on the secondary and so far so good. A couple days running will tell the tale.

    Thanks Tomcat619
