    There's a problem on one of my Startups. The Startup Item is "SysMetrix".

    When Windows display your desktop, usually, this program should starup, but

    there's a window that popped. To make it clearer... SysMetrix should startup,

    but this window takes it place. Here's a picture of that window.

    Ok can you do this then - Download HiJackThis here: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
    Unzip to a convenient permanent folder
    For example: C:/HiJackThis/HiJackThis.exe
    Double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan with log". Don't fix anything but post the log on here for analysis. (The log can be opened with wordpad)

    That way we can see if there is anything nasty causing your problem.

    I can't see any of the obvious signs of virus/spyware infections.
    What happens if you click the rename button?
    Another alternative is to Un-install SysMetrix and re-install it.

    When I click the rename button, it just rename the Program file to Program1. But I

    am curious what is that Program file, I thought it is a virus, but I'm not sure so I

    consulted here in this site.

    Does renaming the program fix the startup problem?
    Is the "Program" a program.exe, i.e. an executable program or something else?

    named Program2... this is weird

    SysMetrix.exe is a skinnable Clock and metering application for Windows.

    Have you tried opening one to see if Windows offers any software to use with it?

    Have you tried opening it with wordpad?

    Whoah.. I opened Program1 with Wordpad, here's what comes out:

    [Files\mIRC\SLseen.ini]
    t-s-i-r-h-C=Time 1114563626
    Jet_Ian=Time 1114563441
    asfdd=Time 1114563626
    Jet_Ian~OuT~=Time 1114563626

    And here's what I saw in Program2:

    [Files\mIRC\SLseen.ini]
    kkk````=Time 1114604335

    This word looks familiar(SLseen) That's a script for mIRC, I think I downloaded that last week.
