I am getting frequent, "Internet Explorer Unhandled Exception" errors that force me to exit Internet Explorer.

Using Internet Explorer 7.0, I frequently received (randomly), "Internet Explorer Unhandled Exception", Module: mshtml.dll, Version: unicode v 4, 0 5, 0.

In an attempt to fix the problem, I downloaded Internet Explorer 8.0. Now, everytime I attempt to open a page via favorites I get the following: "Internet Explorer Unhandled Exception", module: dlashx_x.dll, unicode; v.4, 0, 5, 0

    I am using Windows XP.

    Any suggestions??????
