recently hooked up my HP Pavillion dv6000 with windows vista to a new NetGear WNR3500L RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router with USB after setting up the networks i am unable to connect through the router to the internet wireless(comes up as an unidentified network). However, if i plug my Ethernet cord into the router it picks up the internet fine. There are also 3 other computers in the household connected to the network fine with wireless connections. i also ran a ipconfig/ renew and it came up with

The wireless has an apparently good IP configuration. One possibility is a firewall (such as Norton) that has separate settings for wired and wireless blocking wireless internet access.

Try WPA- or WPA2-PSK with TKIP.
