I want to uninstall Google Chrome. I am prompted to close all Google Chrome windows first. I closed the Google Chrome window icon on the bottom tool bar, but that did not allow me to proceed. What now?

open task manager (ctrl + shift + esc) and make sure all the chrome processes on the processes tab are uninstalled.

Thanks. I have Carbonite and I noticed it is on the list as CarboniteUL.exe. Will it be okay to uninstall it?

Yes it is and I do use it, that's why I was hesitant to uninstall it. So are you saying if I use Carbonite I cannot uninstall Google Chrome?

nope......carbonite should operate independently of any browsers.....you can uninstall google chrome regardless, but you may have to to stop carbonite at first to do so.
