Hi all...my first post since '06......am trying like crazy to uninstall PC Rescue 4.0 from my PC.
Have forwared 3 emails to HCC support but have not had the honour of a response, bit rude eh ?

It also appears that I have some part file ? of PC Rescue 3.0 still evident too.

I paid for this software which is useless...can't use it !
I tried to uninstall in traditional manner but get error messages...saying that :-
' Following files do not exist or is not a valid uninstallation log file'

    Help ! please !

    cheers from hobart

You may want to try uninstalling PC Rescue manually in safe mode. To start in safe mode click on attached link.

    http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

When in safe mode go to C:\program files and delete program folder for PC Rescue. PC Rescue is authored by Healthy Computer Club. If there is no program folder in C:\Program files for PC Rescue look for a program folder for Healthy Computer Club and delete it.

While in safe mode do a search for PC Rescue and for Healthy Computer Club and delete any entries you find.

Restart computer in normal mode as per link attached above.

Download and install RegCleaner from the attached link.

    http://forums.techguy.org/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=5264658

    Run RegCleaner after installation.

Scroll down the list and only put a check mark in the box(s) beside PC Rescue and or Healthy Computer Club. Click on Remove selected.

Hi sailort. If you can find the remnants of this file in search then use this to remove it, it has always worked for me when I have need to remove a stubborn file.
