Hey guys. Not sure if this is the right forum, so sorry if I'm wrong.

I have 2 uninstall problems. The first is with something called Home Search Assistant that showed up on my computer not too long ago. It constantly pops up whenever I go to a new webpage and for a while, it also took over my homepage. When I go to Add/Remove Programs and try to uninstall it, this error message pops up:

    Unable to open "http://looking-for.cc/uninstall//HomeSearchAssistant.html"

So, it continues to pop up and I have no clue what to do.

My other prob is with PC-CILLIN 2002. A friend gave me a copy of this antivirus a year or 2 ago, and when I tried to get rid of it recently in ADD/Remove, I got this error message:

Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

Once again, no clue what to do or what may be the problem. If anyone has any idea how to fix these probs, I'd be really grateful. Thanks guys!

As far as your Home Search Assistant problem goes, you should find some useful information here:-

On the PC-cillin , it's possible that .dll file was never there and the original installation never quite took so you could probably just delete the relevant directory and all it's files in Explorer, but best to wait for some second opinions first.
