I have a new Dell Inspiron laptop with windows 10. I use 2016 MS Office Outlook for email and want to change my fonts. When I select "stationary and fonts" under mail options my screen locks up and I must close and reopen my Outlook to get it to work again. This was not a problem on my old 2003 Dell Inspiron Windows 7.
The Geek Squad fellow said he didn't know how to fix it and suggested that I could uninstall the 2016 Office and reinstall it to see if that would fix it. It sounds dumb to me but I am willing to try it. I want to know if do that, would I lose any documents or other things such as contacts etc.
If you know how to help without doing that I would be very appreciative. Donn

First and foremost, you have current backups of anything you do not want to lose ie contacts, email, whatever. Any data you do not backup is data you do not care about.

Next before doing an uninstall/reinstall, I would try a repair. To repair office, go to control panel, programs and select office. At the top you will see; organize, uninstall, change. Select change and a menu opens up. Repair is one of the options.
